In his book, "The inspiration behind the stories",Liu Yong told of many touching stories. Probably, those stories could be classified in "Chicken Soup for the Souls". "That shirt of my father" related of the author's father who held onto a folded shirt till his last breath. When the father went on business trips, the mother would always fold an extra shirt for the father.
"The extra shirt is not meant for you to stay another day, but to meet unexpected necessity." The mother reminded.
On a fateful day, the father returned home from a trip but to find the mother having passed on. Grief-stricken, the father held onto the extra shirt that the mother folded and packed for him. No one could touch the shirt. Only at his deathbed that he asked the children to put the shirt on him.
Packing for hubby's travel was once my privilege. Slowly, hubby took over the job, but I remain faithful in the folding of business shirts all these 22 years. Hubby finds it a big task in folding the shirts, while I excel in it. To ensure that he would not have to iron the shirts at the destination, the shirts have to be carefully and skillfully folded. The buttons must be intact during folding. Being that thoughtful wife, I would unbutton the shirts to speed up his dressing time! And of course, he always has one extra shirt!
I do feel like giving myself a pat on the back and say, "Well done, Yan." Won't you?

and do share your secret behind a wrinkle-free shirt... i'm the one who irons hubby's shirts and our clothes, but if on biz trips, the shirts get wrinkly, that'll be the only times when he has to do his own ironing!

Fold nicely as you see in the picture. It would not get wrinkly. The other magic is - don't throw away those shirt boards and collar support when you buy new shirts. These boards come in very handy. Slot into the folded clothes, and no matter how they throw your bags, the shirts stay intact!
