My Church has the tradition of lighting the advent candles when the advent is here. This year, Advent starts on Sunday, November 30. It extends to Christmas Eve.It is time of waiting and anticipation of the birth of Jesus. The lighting of the candles at the beginning of the worship service brings much peace, joy and love. I prayerfully prepare for Christmas.

Ooi...spelling salah in post title! Hahahahaha! The Catholic church does that too...one candle per Sunday throughout Advent - right up till Christmas.
