Prayer prompt

I am tired after a day's work. It is sort of mental drain - everyday! Therefore, accepting a "business-link" dinner is really a dread. But, I accepted one on Thursday night. It was a crowd. I really did not enjoy it.

But the Lord has always something for me. This time it's power of prayer shared by the friend sitting next to me. It was my passing statement that a sweet young girl whom we both know is in love with a boy of different faith. Evelyn said, "We can pray for her."

Yes, PRAYER! How often we miss this promise -

“He regards the prayer of the destitute and does not despise their prayer” (Psalm 102:17).

Julie Cosgrove shared in this article, "Prayer of the Destitute" that -

Prayer never falls deaf upon God’s ears. He hears every whisper and every scream. He hears every sentence spoken out loud as well as those which are so deep inside our souls, we just can’t muster up enough gumption to voice them. God does respond, even though we cannot feel it. One way is by asking others to join in our prayer.

If God has placed a thought on your heart, or a name of a person, or even an image, please take time to stop and say a prayer. It just may be the Holy Spirit prompting you to lift up another soul. Prayer brings miracles into action, sends the devil fleeing and heals hidden wounds. Never underestimate the power of a simple upward lifted prayer.

Know this: when you are down and discouraged, when despair creeps in and you can’t find the words to send up to Heaven, God has already placed you on someone else’s heart. Someone on this earth, as well as the Son in Heaven amongst the throngs of angels, is praying for you.

How comforting to know that God has placed me on someone else's heart each time I am down and discouraged! There should not be a reason for me not to stop and pray when God places someone in my heart!

这次去沙巴,竟然没买到半粒牛奶果!他们说不是季节!不知是几时才有。我还带了一个行李去装,后来呢,就买了一些蔬菜。
你好吗?还在沙巴吗?

Thanks for sharing this. And I believe too, we are blessed as a result of others blessing/upholding us in prayer even when we don't realize that they are praying for us. Thank the Lord, thank the Holy Spirit for that special prompting.

May the joy of the Lord always be your strength, Yan, as you keep the cross in your pocket and Jesus in your heart :). I hope you've rested some over the weekend and found new energy for your work for this new week!
